SU FERC, L.L.C.

As of July 13, 2010, NewCorp Resources Electric Cooperative, Inc. (NewCorp) is now SU FERC, L.L.C. (SU FERC).

SU FERC is responsible for the operation and maintenance of a 305 mile 138 kilovolt (kV) transmission loop that was previously owned and maintained by NewCorp. Sharyland Utilities operates and maintains this transmission loop on behalf of SU FERC. This loop is linked to the interstate Southwest Power Pool (SPP) grid and serves the distribution system located in Sharyland Utilities’ Stanton and Lone Wolf Division around the Midland-Odessa and Colorado City areas of West Texas.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has granted a waiver of the requirements of Order Nos. 889 and 890 to operate and maintain an Open Access Same-Time Information System (OASIS) site concerning the posting of an open access transmission tariff (OATT) for these facilities, OATT-related information such as rates, available transfer capability, interconnection, transmission planning procedures and principles, and other OATT-related requirements.
